Celebrate Christmas With Us

In a season so filled with busyness, sometimes we forget to slow down...to open our hearts to something more. We fill our days with so much. But what if this year, we made room for what really matters?

“Prepare Him room” isn’t just a line in a Christmas song. It’s an invitation. An invitation to pause, to welcome hope, and to embrace the heart of Christmas. This Christmas, prepare Him room…in your home, in your heart, in every act of kindness. Because Christmas is more than decorations, gifts, and gatherings. It’s a promise of peace. A gift of joy. A story of love.

Christmas Outreach Fund

CPC has a rich tradition of raising funds for our Christmas Outreach Fund!Since 2008, we have raised just about 1.5 million dollars through your generosity to the Christmas Outreach Fund! Each year, we raise these funds and give it all away! Over the years, we have built

  • a hospital
  • economic orphanage
  • purchased vehicles for mission partners
  • given to help stop human trafficking
  • provided funds to alleviate human suffering
  • built a playground for refugee kids
  • remodeled rooms in low-income schools
  • put on a pastors conference in India
  • bought Moringa Tree Farms in Cameroon
  • helped build a dental clinic
  • Built a Truck so Mobilize Love could expand their ministry to the Peninsula
  • Built water wells in Cambodia
  • as well as serving our local partners by providing for veterans, the homeless, Christian Camps, and more!

We are thrilled to announce our 2024 recipients:

Our local recipient will be LEAD Elementary School. LEAD Elementary faces significant challenges: over two-thirds of its 350 students in 2023 were socioeconomically disadvantaged. This reality starkly contrasts with nearby schools like Beach Park across the street from CPC and Foster City Elementary. Children from the Foster City School Districts only have a small percentage of students who fall behind in literacy and math. At LEAD, however, the picture is reversed, with many students struggling not just with English, but with basic literacy in any language—a daunting task for educators.

We have the potential to make an immense difference, and uplift LEAD Elementary's students and teachers by improving literacy, starting with transforming their library. The school received a grant from Access Books Bay Area to purchase books, but there was a catch: their outdated library needed significant upgrades to fully benefit from the grant. Without these improvements, the grant might be lost.

That’s where CPC comes in. Through our Christmas Outreach Fund we plan to transform the LEAD Elementary Library. This includes fresh paint, modern bookshelves, and updated furniture sourced at nonprofit and educational discounts. The vision? To create an inspiring space where students are excited to read, setting the stage for a literacy transformation.

This effort builds on previous collaborations with LEAD, such as remodeling the staff room and currently partnering with Mobilize Love by hosting after-school programs that serve 130 students weekly. Together, CPC and LEAD Elementary are tackling a monumental challenge with hope and determination, hoping we can rewrite futures—one book, one library, and one student at a time.

For our global initiative, we will support Bill and Winnie Babion, one of mission partners for over 30 years. They lead the global ministry of Athletes in Action(AIA), where they see firsthand how sports can transform lives and communities for Christ. As Nelson Mandela once said, “Sport has the power to change the world.” Through sports, they’ve found a unique and powerful way to share the gospel across the globe.

Their vision is twofold:

  1. To disciple athletes and help them use their platform to make Christ known.
  2. To equip churches to use sports as a bridge to reach their communities with the gospel.

A remarkable example of this is Nepal, an unreached nation of 33 million people. In early 2023, they launched AIA in Nepal, training 22 leaders from 11 cities. Since then, they’ve shared the gospel with thousands of young athletes, leading many to Christ. Today, 52 athletes are being personally discipled, and local churches are using sports to expand their ministry. God is moving powerfully!

AIA is now active in 92 countries, some of the most challenging places in the world to share the gospel. Bill and Wini’s vision is to expand to 100 countries by 2025, and they need our help to get there. It costs just $7,500 to launch AIA in a new country—covering training, equipment, and resources for national leaders. Their  goal for next year is to launch 10 new ministries in places like Morocco, Sierra Leone, Senegal, Uganda, and Argentina, plus several high-security regions. Through our support  it is possible to reach the unreached and transform lives.

You can give online (make sure to choose the “Christmas Outreach Fund” in the drop-down menu when giving.) If giving by check, make payable to CPC, and write “Christmas Outreach Fund,” on the memo line of your check.
