Volunteer at Lead Elementary’s Library Refurbishment!
Come help Lead Elementary School get their library up and running by volunteering on Saturday, September 20 from 9 am–3 pm to process hundreds of brand-new books!
Thanks to CPC’s support in remodeling the library, Lead was able to receive a special grant of books from Access Books Bay Area—a nonprofit dedicated to giving children in high-poverty neighborhoods equal access to books through refurbishing underfunded school libraries.
What you’ll do:
Access Books is looking for volunteers with attention to detail, steady hands, and a love of organization to help with:
- Stamping and labeling books
- Applying barcodes
- Alphabetizing titles
- Shelving books by Dewey Decimal order
- Adding mylar protective covers

🍕 A casual pizza-and-salad lunch will be served at 11:30am (for those without dietary restrictions).
