Celebrate Christmas With Us
Christmas tells of a love so real it can be held, so strong it can carry us, so humble it lies in a feeding trough, and so costly it gives itself away. Christmas calls us to rest in the unwavering grip of God’s love, to be shaped by Christ’s humility, to marvel at His sacrificial beauty, and to celebrate the God who comes running to bring His children home.

Christmas Outreach Fund
Every Christmas, CPC practices open-handedness—giving generously because God has been so generous with us. Since 2008, our church family has raised over $1.5 million through the Christmas Outreach Fund, and we have given every dollar away. This open-handed generosity has helped us:
- build a hospital
- support an economic orphanage
- purchase vehicles for mission partners
- help fight human trafficking
- alleviate human suffering in crisis zones
- build a playground for refugee children
- remodel classrooms and a library in low-income schools
- sponsor a pastor’s conference in India
- invest in Moringa tree farms in Cameroon
- help build a dental clinic
- fund a ministry truck for Mobilize Love
- build water wells in Cambodia
- and support local partners caring for veterans, the homeless, Christian camps, and more.
This year, God is inviting us into a new story of open-handedness—one that started through a man who never thought he would become a missionary.
Three years ago, Howard Hibbs, a long-time CPCer, a retired banker, and Master Gardener, joined a team visiting Malawi Children’s Mission (MCM) in Africa. Surrounded by skilled teachers, nurses, and engineers, Howie kept saying, “I don’t know what my role is on this trip—I feel in over my head.”
But God had a purpose for his simple “yes.” Using his gardening background, Howie connected MCM with Tiyeni, a Malawi-based nonprofit, teaching Deep Bed Farming, a method that can increase crop yields by 2.5 times. What began as a small composting project has grown into a partnership that is transforming entire villages. To learn more about Deep Bed Farming, click here.
As he watched the impact spread, Howie realized the partnership needed a broader foundation in the U.S. So he took another step of faith—again feeling in over his head—and founded Tiyeni USA, working in partnership with Tiyeni UK to expand, support, and strengthen the movement across Malawi.
Today:
- Over 90 farmers in the MCM region are using Deep Bed Farming
- Families are gaining stability
- Children are receiving better nutrition
- Teachers are preparing a school demonstration plot
- And together they have set a bold vision:
To help hundreds of farming families in the three MCM villages become food-secure within five years.
What started with an unlikely missionary has now become a movement of hope.
This Christmas, we practice Open-Handedness again by launching our Christmas Outreach Fund on Giving Tuesday — December 2, 2025
Your giving this season will:
- Train more farmers, families, and students
- Resource the school demonstration farm
- Support nutrition and education programs
- Strengthen long-term food security in all three villages
This is open-handed generosity: God taking one person’s “yes,” multiplying it, and transforming lives.
Join us on Giving Tuesday and throughout the Christmas season as we give generously and help write the next chapter of this story in Malawi.
