Every December, LEAD Elementary transforms one of its spaces on campus into something magical—a Christmas store where families can “shop” for gifts for their children at no cost. Families are invited based on a variety of factors, and for many, it’s a moment of relief and joy during a season that can often feel overwhelming.
When we reconnected with LEAD Elementary to restart our partnership, this was the first event they mentioned—their most meaningful and loved outreach of the year. Their PTA does an incredible job organizing it, but they can’t do it alone. When we asked how CPC could help, their answer was simple: “Could you purchase a few extra gifts?”
Last year, our CPC family jumped in with open hands and hearts—donating gifts, decorating the space, helping families shop (especially our Spanish speakers!), and wrapping presents with love and care. It was beautiful to see our church community living out open-handedness in such a tangible way.
We’re thrilled to partner again this year to bring their Winter Wonderland theme to life! Their Holiday Cheer Party will take place on Thursday, December 11. Set up will be from 3-5 pm, and shopping starts at 5 pm.
If you’d like to help make Christmas a little brighter for LEAD Elementary families, you can donate gifts, decorate, wrap, or assist families as they shop. To donate toys, pick up your Holiday Cheer Card in the lobby on Sunday, purchase the toy, and bring it back to church by December 7. If you would like to serve at LEAD Elementary with set up, decorating, or help wrapping gifts, fill out this form!
Together, let’s bring the joy of Christ into this season—one wrapped gift and one warm smile at a time. Got questions? Contact Shalan.
