Christmas Outreach Fund

CPC has a rich tradition of raising funds at Christmas for our Outreach Fund! Since 2008, we have raised over one million dollars through your generosity to the Christmas Outreach Fund! Each year, we raise these funds and give it all away! Over the years, through your generosity, we have built a hospital, built an economic orphanage, purchased vehicles for mission partners, given to help stop human trafficking, provided funds to alleviate human suffering, built a playground for refugee kids, remodeled rooms in low-income schools, put on a pastors conference in India, bought Moringa Tree Farms in Cameroon, and helped build a dental clinic, as well as serving our local partners by providing for veterans, the homeless, Christian Camps, and so much more!

We are excited to announce our 2022 Christmas Outreach Fund recipients! This year our local partner is Generations United! Generations United serves the marginalized and immigrant communities of Redwood City. They plan to expand their services to children and families by meeting physical and mental health needs. They want to increase the visibility and importance of healthy lifestyles. Generations United will partner with Danza Colibri to provide cultural dance and music by hiring a dedicated Sports and Fitness Director.

The Christmas Outreach Fund will also help Generations United fund mental health training, group art therapy, and one-on-one counseling with mental health professionals. Due to cultural norms with the people group that Generations United serves, many families are reluctant to seek help when faced with increased pressures and new stressors.

Our second recipient will be our mission partner in Cameroon, Moussa Bongoyok! Moussa and his wife Priscilla are longtime mission partners of CPC. If you remember, in 2019, we provided funds for the Moringa Tree Farms, which are planted and growing!

Eight thousand miles from CPC in the Far North Region of Cameroon sits a UN refugee camp sheltering thousands of people displaced by the violence of Boko Haram, a terrorist group. Boko Haram attacks occur regularly in this poorest region near one of the campuses of IUDI, the ministry of Moussa and Priscilla Bongoyok. Over the last year, the Lord has planted a vision in Moussa and Priscilla to leverage IUDI to help restore the lives of the refugees and help rebuild the community through counseling, trauma support, and coaching with the gospel.

IUDI has the human resources to offer these support programs, in addition to skills training for entrepreneurship, music therapy, trade, and professional careers, to over 1500 people annually. However, it lacks the facility and infrastructure to offer these services. To fulfill this vision, they plan to build a 20,000 sq. ft. Community Relocation and Education Center on IUDI’s land over the next three years to serve the thousands of people displaced by Boko Haram.

At CPC, our vision is to become a church of transformed people who transform the Peninsula. As transformed people, we are called to help the least among us. And we believe the Christmas Outreach Fund is an excellent way to fulfill our calling.
