Women At Work
Where: Central Peninsula Church
Are you a woman in the workplace? Women At Work is a ministry that focuses on supporting each other through sharing and prayer as we face challenges at work. We seek to affirm, encourage, and build each other up in Christ so that we can grow spiritually. Join us, and invite a colleague on Saturday, February 5 from 9-10:30 am.
Our special guest speaker for the morning is Colleen Nguyen. She will present on managing your mental health through COVID. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Colleen specializes in working with individuals and children/adolescents on issues related to:
- Anxiety, Stress, and Burnout
- Issues/Conflict with relationships
- Abuse and Trauma
Colleen received her bachelor’s degree in Human Development from University of California, San Diego. She graduated from Western Seminary with a Masters degree in Marital and Family Therapy. Her graduate education in therapy included theological and biblical studies from a Christian worldview. As a result, even though Colleen sees clients of all faith/no faith backgrounds, one of her areas of expertise is Christian psychological care as it pertains to spiritual trauma. When integrating faith issues, Colleen takes a client-centered approach and starts with the client’s lead.
When she is not seeing clients, she enjoys giving workshops to local churches and conferences. Colleen also serves as Adjunct Faculty at William Jessup University and Western Seminary. She is currently a Ph.D. in Counseling Education student at Oregon State University.
In her spare time, you can find her going for walks with friends, in a dance class, or spending quality time with her family.
