ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THE WEEK OF June 1

Bearing Witness Practice Lab: Oftentimes, we wonder about ways that we can reflect and embody the love and hospitality of Jesus with others around us who don't know Him. We may want to share the story of Jesus and His Kingdom with others, but we might be nervous that it'll feel awkward, scary, or forced. What would it look like for us to begin by simply sharing our lives with others? What would it look like for us to notice, pray for, bless, welcome, serve, and share stories with the people God has placed around us? Join us for a four-week practice lab on May 4, 18, 25, and June 1 to explore and practice what it looks like to bear witness to Jesus' love and welcome in word, in deed, and in community. Register today!

CPC Podcast: Got questions about the sermon! Text the word PODCAST to 650.460.1144 and submit your question!

Higher Power: Join us on Friday, June 6 at 7 pm, as we welcome Pastor Raymond R. from Brooklyn, a passionate communicator with deep roots in recovery ministry. He’ll be teaching on Step 6. This step challenges us to let go of our old ways and trust God with real inner change. Come ready to be encouraged, challenged, and reminded of God’s power to transform.

Bay Area School Of Ministry Class: BASOM is offering their next class where we will explore how and why Christian leadership is different. We will explore the character, vision, skills, and challenges of Christian leaders through bible study, reading and discussion. Instructors for this class are Dr. Mark Mitchell and several ministry leaders around the Bay Area as guest speakers. This class goes from June 16-August 24 on Mondays from 7-9 pm at Bridge City Church. Register today!

Work Life: Join us Saturday, June 14, from 9-10:30 am as Colin Wong shares his journey bouncing back from a corporate layoff to launching his own business, aided by Christian communities. Additionally, you can network and get one-on-one help from career coaches for support in your job transitions and challenges. RSVP today!

Baby Dedication: Welcoming a new baby into your family? Join us for our next Baby Dedication during Sunday services on June 22! This is a special opportunity to commit to raising your child to know and love Jesus, with the support of our church community. Register by June 1 at cpc.org/events. Questions? Contact Rachelle.

Camping this summer? If you enjoy camping, hiking, or spending time in nature, CPCers Ken and Linda Napior host local camping trips throughout the year for a fun-loving, welcoming community. Their 5-star group is perfect for vehicle-based campers—those who use tents, vans, trailers, or motorhomes—and explores beautiful campgrounds across Northern California and the western U.S. All ages are welcome, and while each camper is responsible for their own gear, food, and reservations, the experience is rich with friendship and connection. To learn more or join, visit meetup.com/Northern-California-Vehicle-Campers.

Summer XP: Get ready for an unforgettable week at Summer XP, July 15-18, our half-day camp for kids entering Kindergarten through 5th grade! Each day is filled with fun, friendship, and meaningful moments as campers learn to love like Jesus. This year’s theme, Live It Out, focuses on putting love into action through things like prayer, kindness, and forgiveness, rooted in our theme verse, John 13:34. Spots fill fast, so register today and don’t miss out! For more information and to register, go to cpc.org/events.

The Men’s Retreat Is Back!: Step away from the noise and reconnect with God and other men from the Bay Area in the beauty of the Santa Cruz Mountains. This year, CPC is joining Mount Hermon’s Men’s Retreat for a weekend of worship (led by our own Brandon Pasion), teaching, and adventure. For more information and to register, go to cpc.org/events
