10-12-17 Update Fill This Truck!

Over that last four weeks, our nation has had some devastating disasters: hurricanes, shootings, and fires. Some of these circumstances have felt far away, and some are right here in our backyard. When our staff gathered on Tuesday, we took some time to pray for all of those who have been affected by the North Bay Fires. Many of us have family and dear friends in the North Bay. Many of them have been evacuated, and many have lost everything. As we shared and prayed, we were called into action, but we need your help!

Our plan is two-fold. We are partnering with two churches in the affected areas who have boots on the ground, to bring needed supplies and food. Secondly, we want to serve shoulder to shoulder with the local churches in the rebuilding efforts. Right now we are focused on the immediate need.

The CPC Staff's goal is to FILL a 26-foot moving truck with needed supplies to take to the North Bay by next Wednesday, October 18! Are you up for the challenge?

Between now and next Wednesday we will be collecting the following supplies:

•Flats of bottled water
•Clif bars
•Granola bars
•Trail mix
•Dried fruit and dried meat
•Canned foods.
•Baby formula
•Baby food
•Diapers and wipes
•New twin size blankets
•Breathing masks: N95 and P100
•Phone chargers
•Power Strips

These are the requested supplies that our partner churches have requested. Bring your supplies this Sunday to either of our campuses. At Foster City, we will be using the lobby area as the drop off location for supplies. There will be no lobby seating. At the South Campus, we plan on having a trailer out in front of The Fox where you can drop off your supplies. If you want to drop off supplies during the week, drop them off at the Foster City Campus anytime between 8:30 am–4:30 pm. We will keep you updated through this web page.

We hope you will join us in the relief effort and be the hands and feet of Jesus.
