VETERANS MINISTRIES AT THE MENLO PARK VA HOSPITAL
Game Days: We host Bingo and card games for veterans in the mental health units on the 2nd Monday of each month, from 2–3:30 pm. Volunteers will assist with the games, socialize with the veterans, help serve snacks, and/or donate items for the snacks and/or game prizes.
Cards and Treats for Veterans on Special Days: Throughout the year we bless these veterans on holidays, such as the 4th of July, Veterans' Day, and Christmas. Volunteers will create handmade greeting cards with personal notes to thank and encourage the veterans and the hospital staff, and/or donate treats and gifts to brighten their day.
VETERANS HOUSING/FURNITURE PARTNERSHIP
CPC helps solve homelessness by recruiting and supporting landlords to participate in the Veterans Administration HUD-VASH housing program, and supplying housed veterans with donated furniture and living essentials. CPC volunteers can provide move-in kits and help move veterans off the street and into a home.
