ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THE WEEK OF April 19, 2026
Discover CPC: New to CPC? We’d love to meet you! If you’ve started attending CPC in the past year, join us for Discover CPC, a relaxed and welcoming time designed just for you—happening on Sunday, April 19, from 12:45 to 1:45 pm (right after the second service). Enjoy snacks, connect with others, and hear from some of our pastors and directors about the heart behind CPC. You’ll learn about our mission, values, and where we believe God is leading us in the coming decade. Let us know if you’re joining us at cpc.org/events.
Alpha: Looking for a place where questions about faith are truly welcomed? Alpha is a relaxed, conversational space for anyone curious about God or want to explore life’s big questions. Each week includes a meal, a short video, and an open discussion—no pressure and no expectations. CPC is partnering with Menlo Church to host Alpha on Tuesday evenings, April 21–May 26, from 6:45–8:15 pm at Devils Canyon Brewing Co. It’s free, and dinner is included. Learn more and register at cpc.org/alpha.
Rooted In Christ Retreat: Join us on Saturday, April 25, for a one-day Rooted in Christ Retreat—a space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with who God says you are. Through Scripture and guided conversation, we’ll explore identity, worth, freedom, and belonging. If you’re feeling tired, stuck, or longing for deeper clarity, this retreat is for you. Come as you are. Leave rooted and renewed in Christ. For more information and to register, go to cpc.org/events.
Work Life: Not Alone in the Search: A panel conversation with people from our community who've recently been through a career transition. Real stories about what was hard, what helped, and how faith sustained them. Open to all. Volunteer career coaches are also available to help you 1-on-1. Saturday, May 9 from 9-10:30 am. RSVP at cpc.org/worklife.
Practice Lab on Contribution: We live in a world trained to consume: content, experiences, success, even faith. But from the beginning, God created us not as consumers, but as cultivators. His primary concern isn’t what we accomplish or accumulate, but who we are becoming. Join us for a four-week Practice Lab as we rediscover our vocation as partners with God in the renewal of all things. Together, we’ll learn to notice where the Spirit is already at work and practice joining Him in bringing shalom to our lives, relationships, and community. Practice Lab starts Sunday, April 26, from 5–6:30 pm. Dinner included. Go to cpc.org/events to register.
Summer XP: Get ready for a week of discovery, fun, and faith! Summer XP is our high-energy kids' day camp experience where kids will explore God’s Word—learning how the Bible lights our path and helps us follow Jesus every day. With engaging Bible stories, games, worship, and hands-on activities, kids will grow in their faith while having an absolute blast. Don’t miss it! Summer XP is July 20-24. Register today at cpc.org/events!
