ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THE WEEK OF JANUARY 19
Financial Update: Our December Giving and Financial Updates are available on the CPC App.
Fire Disaster Relief: In times of crisis, the church is called to be a beacon of hope and love. As wildfires rage across Los Angeles, leaving devastation in their wake, we at CPC feel the urgency to stand with our neighbors in Southern California. We will be partnering with two incredible organizations. Convoy of Hope is providing essential supplies like water, food, and hygiene items to those affected, while Thess Bar, founded by a CPC family member, is sending 11 pallets of nutritious health bars to support first responders. To contribute financially, you can give through the CPC website, app, or by writing a check with “Special Needs-Disaster Relief” in the memo line. Every dollar donated to this fund will go directly to Convoy of Hope and Thess Bar to aid those in need.
Sequoia: CPC’s Sequoia Adult Ministry (50+) meets on Sunday, January 19, from 4-6 pm with a potluck dinner and video series on Finishing Well with Dr. Hal Habecker, “Seven Essentials for Finishing Well” for the purpose of “Fulfilling God’s Plan for Our Aging Years.” For more information and to register, go to cpc.org/sequoia. Check out our upcoming dates and topics!
Student Ministry Bowling: Get ready to roll into an afternoon of fun, friendship, and fantastic strikes with CPC Student Ministry! Whether you’re a bowling pro or just in it for laughs, this is the perfect chance to hang out, connect, and make memories. Mark your calendars for Saturday, February 15, 1-3 pm. Register today!
Marriage Workshop: Looking for a way to deepen your connection with your partner and with God? Look no further than our “Transforming Your Marriage Workshop,” February 7-8 at CPC, led by Glen and Liz Kauk! It's for both married and engaged couples. This workshop is designed to help you and your partner reconnect with your faith and discover the joy and power of a vertical marriage. For more information and to register, go to cpc.org/events.
Work Life Open House: Join us on Saturday, February 9, from 9-11 am, for an inspiring morning with Jose Bonilla, CPC's Executive Pastor. Hear Jose's personal story of prayerfully trusting God through career transitions and saying yes in faith to unexpected opportunities—from a career in corporate fitness to full-time ministry leadership. We also offer professional headshot photos, connect with the CPC community to grow your industry network and teach you how the Work Life Ministry can support you in your career journey. Register today!
Women’s Retreat: Join us at the Spring Women’s Retreat at Mt Hermon March 14-16, 2025! It’s the perfect place for women to gather, get away, and take time to reflect on God’s love and purposes for our lives. Leave your distractions and busyness at home and come experience refreshment of mind, body, and soul in the presence of Jesus. Rather than hosting our own retreat, we will join Mt. Hermon’s Spring Women’s Retreat. We will be with women from all over the Bay Area to enjoy worship, teaching, and activities in the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains. You will need to register with CPC and Mt Hermon. For more information and to register, go to cpc.org/events.
