50 Plus Ministry

Sequoia, CPC’s 50+ group aims to encourage older persons towards making a difference for Christ throughout all of life. This is for the winning purpose and goal of ending well. We are excited to be able to offer a discipleship project during ’24-’25: “Seven Essentials for Finishing Well” for the purpose of “Fulfilling God’s Plan for Our Aging Years” (www.FinishingWellMinistries.org)

Each month, registrants will be guided to study one of the Seven Essentials from an online handbook “on your own”, prior to an in-person potluck supper/fellowship event in the MPR at CPC.

The in-person fellowship sessions will include “Finishing Well” videos by Dr. Hal Habecker originator of Finishing Well Ministries, various speakers and interviews of fellow CPC attendees with audience Q and A, for solidifying the appreciation of each month’s essential action step.

September 15, Sunday 4-6PM: We will GROW- we will not stay the same. Growth is at the heart of life.
October 19, Saturday 4-6: We will CONNECT- We will not live alone- we will continue to build strong friendships.
November 17, Sunday 4-6: We will CARE/LOVE OTHERS- we will care for and love others as Christ loved us.
January 19, Sunday 4-6: We will INVEST in generations following us, beginning with our families.
February 16, Sunday 4-6: we will BE AVAILABLE as God calls us to serve.
March 16 Sunday 4-6: We will PLAN AHEAD for when we are gone.
May 17 Saturday 4-6: We will ANTICIPATE HEAVEN- eternity with Christ.
