Work Life

Work Life Ministry supports the CPC community with practical support and encouragement on work-life issues, including career coaching and job interview preparation. We connect those in job transitions with qualified volunteers to provide practical support. We also hold a monthly meeting on different Work Life topics open to everyone, followed by career workshops with 1-on-1 support.

We meet on the second Saturday of the month from 9–10:30 am at the Foster City Campus in the Multipurpose Room.

Join us for the following topics:

  • Join us Saturday, September 14, from 9-10:30 am as Anila Thomas speaks on "Navigating as a minority in the technology workplace with grit and grace."
Anila Thomas, of Indian descent, was born and raised partly in the Middle East. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering. Her diverse life experiences as a refugee, daughter, sister, wife, mom, engineer, and leader have strengthened her faith and enabled her to excel in the workplace. Anila has enjoyed a 22-year career at Oracle, where she leads a global team of engineers in delivering world-class enterprise software. Since 2015, she has been attending WBS and loves to volunteer with Middle School Ministries and Women at Work at CPC whenever her schedule permits. Anila's anchor verse is Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV) The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. His mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness.

RSVP so that we can make sure we can bring in the appropriate volunteer career coaches each month.
